The Location
Die ALTEBURG liegt im Süden von Köln, in Südstadt, wo wir Zuhause sind. Sie ist sogar direkt um die Ecke von unserer Wohnung. Sie war unsere erste Wahl, allerdings hatten sie keinen Samstag im Sommer mehr frei, also haben wir uns Dutzende anderer Orte angeschaut. Aber keiner schien so gut. Also sind wir schließlich zurück und haben nach einem Freitag gefragt. Und den haben wir dann auch bekommen 🙂
The ALTEBURG is in the south of Cologne, the so-called Südstadt, where we live. It is actually pretty much around the corner from our appartment. It was our first choice. Yet, they didn’t have a Saturday, so we went and looked at dozens of other places. But none seemed to be as fitting for us. So we finally came back and asked them for a Friday. And we got one 🙂
O local ALTEBURG é no sul de Colônia, a chamada Südstadt, onde moramos. Na verdade, fica praticamente ao virar da esquina de nosso apartamento. Foi a nossa primeira escolha. No entanto, eles não tinham um sábado, então fomos e olhamos dezenas de outros lugares. Mas nenhum parecia ser tão adequado para nós. Então, finalmente voltamos e lhes pedimos uma sexta-feira. E conseguimos uma 🙂
Übernachten ++ Accomodation ++ Hotéis e mais
Da wir mitten in der Stadt sind, gibt es eine Reihe Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten. Airbnbs, Hotels, Pensionen, B&Bs und sogar Camping. Wir haben hier ein paar Optionen gelistet. Sagt aber gerne Bescheid, wenn ihr etwas anderes sucht und wir was organisieren können.

Das Novotel ist das nächste Hotel einer bekannten Kette, das Gasthaus zur Eule ist so nah, dass man da nachts hineulen kann, ohne sich noch groß darüber Gedanken machen zu müssen.
Das Hotel am Chlodwigplatz wurde vor Kurzem von einer Gruppe Freunden aus der Südstadt übernommen und hat sich schön rausgeputzt, das Hotel Hopper ist schön schick und auch sehr nah. Diese Hotels sind gut fußläufig zu erreichen, bei den anderen empfiehlt sich schon eine kurze Fahrt mit KVB, Elektroroller wie Tier etc., Bahnrad oder Taxi.
Die Liste der Ferien- und Airbnb-Wohnungen ist nicht vollständig. Haut gerne in die Tasten, wenn ihr weiter suchen wollt. Aber diese sind schon alle sehr nah dran.
Und Campen? Auch hier empfiehlt sich ein Bahnrad oder elektrischer Roller, wenn man 15 Minuten ins hübsche Rodenkirchen zum Camping Berger rollert. Wer das Rad 13 Minuten über die pittoreske Südbrücke nimmt, kann im großartigen Camping Wiesenhaus im Wohnmobil oder auch Tiny House übernachten.
The Novotel is the closest hotel of a well-known chain (1.5km), the Gasthaus zur Eule is so close that you can howl into it at night without stopping to ask for directions (700m).
The Hotel am Chlodwigplatz (950m) was recently taken over by a group of friends from the Südstadt and has cleaned up nicely, the Hotel Hopper (1.2km) is nice and chic and also close. These hotels can be reached on foot. For the others consider a short ride with KVB, electric scooters like Tier etc., DB-bike or cab.
The list of apartments and Airbnbs is not complete. Feel free to search further. But these are all close.
And camping? A DB-bike or electric scooter is recommended if you’re rolling 15 minutes to pretty Rodenkirchen to Camping Berger. If you take the bike 13 minutes over the picturesque Südbrücke, you can spend the night at the great Camping Wiesenhaus in a camper or even Tiny House.

O Hotel am Chlodwigplatz (950m) foi recentemente tomado por um grupo de amigos da cidade de Südstadt e limpou muito bem, o Hotel Hopper (1,2km) é agradável e chique e também próximo. Estes hotéis podem ser alcançados a pé. Para os outros, considere um passeio curto com KVB, scooters elétricos como Tier etc., bicicleta DB ou táxi.

E acampamento? Novamente, uma bicicleta de trem ou uma scooter elétrica é recomendada se você rolar 15 minutos para a bela Rodenkirchen para o Camping Berger. Se você levar a bicicleta 13 minutos sobre a pitoresca Südbrücke, você pode passar a noite em uma tenda, camper van ou em um Tiny House no belo Camping Wiesenhaus.
Parking
Parkplätze sind nur eingeschränkt vorhanden. Parken ist auf der Straße zwar umsonst, aber oft voll.
Wenn möglich, kommt mit der Bahn (15/16/17) z.B. zur Schönhauser Straße, dem Bonner Wall oder dem Chlodwigplatz oder mit dem Bus 106/132/133/142 z.B. zum Bonntor, Koblenzer Straße, Bonner Wall oder Chlodwigplatz/ Ubierring.
Parking is free, however, there are only few parking lots. So maybe take the tram (15/16/17) to Schönhauser Straße, Bonner Wall or Chlodwigplatz, or the bus 106/132/133/142 and walk the rest.
